IBADAN, OYO STATE: The Omi-Tuntun 3.0 Students’ Army has commended Governor Seyi Makinde following the approval of the commencement of bursary registration for Oyo State indigenous students studying in tertiary institutions across the country.

The development has once again brought student welfare to the centre of public conversation, particularly among Oyo State students studying outside the state.

For the Omi-Tuntun 3.0 Students’ Army, the bursary initiative is not merely about financial assistance. It represents the importance of government recognising the realities faced

students and responding to their educational needs.

The Oyo State Government has consistently identified education as an important component of its development agenda. Its published education policy record includes several interventions aimed at improving access and reducing the financial burden associated with education.

The latest bursary development therefore provides another opportunity for students to examine the policies, programmes and records of leadership at both the state and national levels.

As Nigeria approaches the 2027 general elections, the Omi-Tuntun 3.0 Students’ Army believes that students cannot afford to remain spectators in the political process.

Students studying in Oyo State and those studying across different states of the federation have a responsibility to engage, ask questions, examine records and participate actively in shaping the future of Nigeria.

Governor Seyi Makinde has now formally presented Reset Nigeria as his national political proposition, with education listed among the four major pillars of the agenda.

For the student community, the conversation should therefore extend beyond individual interventions. It should focus on what kind of leadership can build an education system where young Nigerians have greater opportunities to learn, develop skills and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The Omi-Tuntun 3.0 Students’ Army calls on students across campuses to remain politically conscious, organise responsibly and make their voices count as Nigeria moves towards 2027.

The future of Nigeria belongs to the generation currently sitting in our classrooms, lecture theatres and campuses.

Let us engage. Let us mobilise. Let us participate.

RESET NIGERIA. LET US RESET NIGERIA TOGETHER.
