The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade, has extended warm greetings to Muslims in Ogbomoso North, Oyo State and beyond as they commemorate Eid Maulud, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a goodwill message, the council chairman described the occasion as an important opportunity for Muslims and all Nigerians to reflect on the exemplary virtues of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his teachings on peace, compassion, tolerance, humility and love for humanity.
Hon. Ogunlade urged Muslims to use the celebration as a period of renewed faith and commitment to peaceful coexistence, stressing the importance of unity and mutual respect in building a stronger and more prosperous society.
He called on residents of Ogbomoso North to continue to support one another and promote peace regardless of religious, social or political differences.
The chairman also prayed for Allah’s continued blessings upon the people, their families and the entire local government, expressing hope that the Eid celebration would usher in greater peace, prosperity and progress.
“May this blessed occasion remind us of the values of peace, love, compassion, tolerance, unity and service to humanity. May Allah accept our prayers, strengthen our faith, bless our homes and grant our communities continued peace and prosperity,” Ogunlade said.
Hon. George Gbadegesin Ogunlade wished Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid Maulud celebration, while encouraging everyone to uphold the virtues of kindness, peaceful coexistence and service to humanity.
