The Oyo South Senatorial candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, popularly known as Odidiomo, has intensified his grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 general election.
Odidiomo, who represents Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, took his campaign to residents, traders and business operators across parts of Ibadan, combining door-to-door consultations with engagements at major commercial centres.

The latest phase of the campaign covered the Adeoyo axis as well as Molete Under-Bridge Market, Bode Market, Adedibu Market and Iwo Road Electronics Market.
The engagements provided an opportunity for the APM candidate to interact directly with residents and market stakeholders while listening to concerns affecting businesses, livelihoods and community development.
At the various markets, Odidiomo discussed issues relating to infrastructure, economic activities and the welfare of traders and business operators.
At the Iwo Road Electronics Market, where he met with members of the traders’ association, discussions centred on challenges including electricity and water supply.
During the engagement, Odidiomo announced a ₦5 million support package for the association and also agreed to the traders’ request for the provision of a borehole.
The campaign engagements also provided a platform for Odidiomo to present his proposed development agenda for the nine local government areas that make up Oyo South Senatorial District.

His proposed agenda focuses on education and skills development, agriculture, healthcare, technology, employment and infrastructure.
Among the proposals are the establishment of an ICT hub in each of the nine local government areas, an agriculture empowerment and value-chain programme for Ibarapa, and efforts to facilitate a Federal Medical Centre for Oyo South.
Odidiomo also proposed the “Light Up Oyo South” initiative, under which he said 100 electricity poles would be installed in each of the district’s 99 wards, translating to 9,900 poles across the senatorial district.
The grassroots engagements form part of Odidiomo broader campaign strategy of taking his message directly to communities, residents, traders and other stakeholders ahead of the 2027 senatorial contest.
Odidiomo has previously outlined a development agenda centred on digital inclusion, youth empowerment, education, economic opportunities and infrastructure across Oyo South.
