Hon. Seun Fakorede has accepted his appointment as Director of Youth Mobilisation for the Odidiomo
Campaign Organisation, describing the responsibility as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s engagement with young people across Oyo State.
Fakorede, a former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State and former Executive Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Sports, said he accepted the assignment after carefully considering the responsibilities and expectations attached to the role.
Speaking on the appointment, Fakorede said his experience working with young people and within the youth and sports administration space had given him valuable insight into youth engagement across the state.
He noted that his involvement with young people over the years had exposed him to their aspirations, concerns and expectations, adding that the new responsibility would require commitment, effective mobilisation and meaningful engagement.
According to him, the assignment goes beyond holding a campaign title, as it comes with the responsibility of helping to strengthen the campaign’s youth mobilisation structure, particularly among young people in Oyo South Senatorial District.
Fakorede expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to bring his experience, energy and commitment to the assignment.
He said he would work with relevant stakeholders and youth groups to build an effective mobilisation structure ahead of the 2027 electoral season.
The appointment adds another component to the growing youth mobilisation structure of the Odiadimo Campaign Organisation as preparations for the 2027 elections continue across Oyo State.
