The Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army State Executive on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Ogbomoso Zone leadership of the Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army, bringing together student leaders and coordinators from across the five Local Government Areas of the Ogbomoso Zone.

The delegation, which included the Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army State Representative, the FOGUS National President, Ogbomoso Zone Coordinators across the five Local Government Areas, Campus Captains, the Best Legacy SUG President, the LAUTECH SUG President, and other members of the Students’ Army, was received

Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole (Wolekanle) at his residence in Ogbomoso.

Also present at the meeting was Hon. Bsquare, Director-General, Youth Mobilisation for the Presidential and Governorship Campaign of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Ogbomoso North, who joined the student leaders and other stakeholders during the engaging interaction.

The courtesy visit provided an opportunity for the State Executive and the Ogbomoso Zone coordinators to interact, exchange ideas and strengthen their relationship, while discussing the activities and future direction of the Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army across campuses.

During the engagement, the student leaders openly reaffirmed their commitment to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and declared their support for the Reset Nigeria agenda associated with the Omituntun 3.0 project.

The student leaders stated that they are supporting the progress they know, pointing to what they described as the visible impact of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration across Oyo State, particularly within the student community.

The student leaders maintained that, in their view, any student in Oyo State who has witnessed the developments and interventions of the Makinde administration, particularly in the student community, would have reasons to appreciate the progress recorded and support the continuation of that direction.

They therefore expressed their determination to reciprocate

actively participating in the mobilisation for the Reset Nigeria agenda and the Omituntun 3.0 project.

The students further declared their commitment to supporting Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi for Governor of Oyo State under the APM, describing their position as part of their desire for continuity of the development direction they associate with the present administration.

The delegation assured Bashorun Akinwole that the Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army would continue to mobilise across campuses, strengthen student networks and take the message of the project to students across Oyo State.

The warm reception

Bashorun Akinwole further demonstrated the accessibility and openness that have continued to distinguish him in his relationship with young people. Rather than simply receiving the delegation formally, he gave the student leaders the opportunity to speak, listened to their views and engaged them in a relaxed and cordial atmosphere.

For Wolekanle Youth Vanguard (WYV), the engagement was another reflection of the leadership qualities of Bashorun Akinwole. His willingness to personally receive the State Executive and the Ogbomoso Zone coordinators demonstrates his openness to young people and his recognition of the important role they play in the future of Oyo State.

Bashorun Akinwole appreciated the student leaders for making the courtesy visit and for their commitment to the student community. He encouraged them to remain organised, united and purposeful in their activities, assuring them of his support and encouragement.

He also promised to support the delegation with souvenirs as a gesture of appreciation for their visit and commitment, further adding a personal touch to the cordial engagement.

Bashorun Akinwole equally encouraged the students to remain committed to their work and assured them that those who sincerely contribute to the Omituntun 3.0 project and the development of Oyo State would have no reason to regret their commitment.

The meeting brought together student leaders from the State Executive, the five Local Government Areas of the Ogbomoso Zone and various campuses, creating an opportunity for meaningful interaction and stronger coordination within the Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army.

Wolekanle Youth Vanguard commends Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole (Wolekanle) for warmly receiving the State Executive and the Ogbomoso Zone leadership, giving them his time, listening to them and encouraging them to remain committed to their aspirations.

For WYV, the significance of the meeting goes beyond a courtesy visit. It reflects the importance of creating spaces where young people can engage with leaders, express their views and contribute to conversations about the future of their state and country.

As the Omituntun 3.0 Students’ Army continues its engagement across campuses, the commitment expressed

the student leaders in Ogbomoso signals their determination to take their message to fellow students and build a stronger student network across Oyo State.

From Ogbomoso to campuses across Oyo State, the students have made their position clear: they are ready to support the progress they know and contribute their energy to the journey ahead.

Support the Progress You Know.
