Tinubu, Adeleke Hold Closed-Door Meeting at Aso Rock Villa
President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Adeleke arrived at the Villa at about 5:25 pm on Thursday, dressed in a navy-blue traditional outfit and carrying a walking stick. He arrived in a black Toyota Land Cruiser SUV alongside the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
The meeting marks Adeleke’s first engagement with President Tinubu since his re-election in last Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.
Adeleke’s visit comes just days after President Tinubu personally congratulated him on his re-election, describing the victory as “a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country.” The President also urged the governor to unite the people of Osun State, regardless of their political affiliations or choices during the election.
At about 5:40 pm local time, four other officials from Osun State were also seen arriving at the Presidential Villa.
They included the Director-General of the Adeleke Campaign Council, Senator Lere Oyewumi; a member of the council, Mr Sunday Bisi; the Osun State Governor’s Chief of Staff, Akinleye Kazeem; and Bamidele Salam, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State.
